Anti-Wrinkle
Botox, Dysport, Xeomin and Neucevia are different brand names of neurotoxin or botulinum toxin. They are highly effective FDA-approved prescription substances that are used to relax muscle contraction to prevent the creasing of skin and the overall development of fine lines and wrinkles.

There are many factors that can cause wrinkles, such as age, sun damage, collagen breakdown and many more. Muscle contraction also plays a big part in creasing of the skin which develops into fine lines and wrinkles. There are two types of wrinkles; dynamic wrinkles and static wrinkles. Dynamic wrinkles are lines that are apparent upon facial expression. Whereas, static wrinkles are lines that are apparent even when the face is at rest. This is because of the repeated muscle contraction during certain facial expressions.
Before each treatment, consultation always takes place. This allows us to discuss your concerns and overall aesthetic goals. We will then assess the muscle contraction of your facial muscles, which will be marked as the best possible site for injection. The strength of your facial muscles will determine how many units of neurotoxin will be injected. The appointment time is roughly 10-20 minutes.
You can expect a tiny pinch for each injection that is usually an average of 2 or 3/10 on the pain scale. We use tiny needles to inject the product superficially.
You can expect to see mild changes within 2-3 days post treatment, but full effect will take place by 10 to 14 days. This will then last an average of 3 to 4 months. Longevity can differ for each individual depending on their lifestyle. For instance, someone who works out often may be used to regenerating new cells and this treatment may not last as long for them, requiring them to come in sooner. Generally, it is advised for clients to come back no later than 4 months for their routine touch up. This way, we target those facial muscles before they regain their full strength and therefore will require less units than their initial treatment.
With every cosmetic injectable, redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising can be expected for roughly 3-5 days post treatment. When injected too close to the eyes or eye brows, eye lid drooping or brow drooping can occur temporarily. Sometimes it can mask a headache but generally subsides. It’s important to follow after care instructions to prevent theses complications.
This treatment requires minimal downtime and clients can resume daily activities immediately after their appointment. However, we ask that you avoid strenuous exercise, lying down, hot tubs, saunas, hot shower for at least 4 hours post treatment.
Individuals who have mild to moderate lines or wrinkles who want to smooth out the folds that appear upon facial expression are the ideal candidate for this treatment. Generally, individuals ages 20-65 can benefit from this treatment!
