Your nurse will find an appropriate vein to place the IV cannula in for infusing. This is then connected to the tubing that is draining the IV bag filled with essential vitamins and minerals. Infusion typically takes 25 to 30 minutes. Since these essential vitamins and minerals are infused directly into your veins, they will be immediately absorbed for your body to use.
