Non-Surgical Facelifts
Polydioxanone threads or PDO threads are dissolvable sutures that are used to lift and tighten loose and sagging skin. The threads are made out of a biocompatible material that is gradually absorbed in the skin. When inserted, the threads stimulate the body’s natural healing response and collagen production, which overall helps tighten the skin. There are two types of threads: barbed and smooth threads. Barbed threads create a significant lift, while smooth threads help create a “floor” to help firm or tighten thin skin or uneven skin texture such as deep acne scars.
